I've been playing many different stringed instruments all of my life....except the banjo. This banjo is fun to play and for the price, a phenomenal deal! This banjo is very playable and after the first tuning, only small adjustments have been needed. Is this a road instrument? Probably not, if you are a seasoned player. This is the first Banjo I have ever owned. I am just learning to play. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I wasn't sure I would like. This Banjo came in very good shape and quality looks good. I sure there are better ones out there but you can't beat it for the price.

I placed an order on 4/2/2021 on 4/5/2021 finally get a tracking number so I check it label created but not picked up. 4/6/2021 not picked up 4/7/2021 in route to a ups facility. 5 days and has not made it to a ups facility yet. I do reviews of affordable musical instruments and inform my 5000+ local viewers of what companies to go to and from whom to stay clear of when buying. So far it's not looking good on Glarry just hope the 5 string banjo is not damaged.

So I received an email from a manager Lin that was very helpful with my order. Turns out that item was lost in transit from glarry to me by ups. Lin was very nice and refunded my money with no problem. Even made a follow up email to make sure that I received my refund. Very honest company that can't blame them for delivery service not doing their end of the job. Thank you again Lin. Sorry that I can't raise my stars due to it will not allow my to modify. But if I could it would be 5 stars for cu ...

Banjo arrived in less than 1 week. Good beginner product tubes up well and sounds very good. Varnish on neck is a little too spotted but other than that great banjo for the price. Customer service is impossible to reach on the telephone and the tracking data was not timely or accurate until it shipped, seems label was created very early in the process.

Recieved this in a timely manner. This is the second Glarry instrument I have purchased. The 5 string bass was very nice all around. This Banjo has a couple of issues however. Overall very nice. There are two minor problems. One is the fret ends are a little rough. Not terrible and is an easy fix. There are three spots where the finish is less than ideal. Two spots look like there was a flaw in the wood on the sides of the resonator. Looks like they were filled with wood filler but then not sand ...

On the bottom when holding the instrument so not a big deal. Also on the resonator there are two spot where the top (part facing audience) where the finish looks like it was done by someone with little attention to detail. Again it isn't terrible but it would not have taken a lot of effort to do a better job. I am pleased overall and these issues are minor cosmetic items hardly noticable unless you look closely. Playability is very nice so for an inexpensive instrument you won't go wrong with one of these.

One of the reasons I wanted a new banjo was that the neck of the Fender didn't feel good on my fingers, but the Glarry banjo feels so nice that I often pick it up in the afternoon just for pleasure, not just for recording as I did before. I have avoided finger picks all these years (mostly using a guitar pick or my bare fingers) but the Glarry banjo inspired me to invest in metal finger picks and finally learn to play correctly. One problem (and the reason for 4 stars) is that the action is a little high as you go up the neck toward the drum head, though this was the same with all my banjos. I am thinking of having a technician do what he can to lower the action, but even this is not a deal-breaker. Very happy with this purchase.
