After truss rod adjustment, lowering saddles, intonating, shielding the cavity and changing strings,this thing plays nicely. Pleasantly surprised at the pickups which sound pretty good to me. Also very ergonomic. Highly recommended.

Very surprised by this guitar. As a long time player I wasn't expecting much except a cheap bass to knock around on in a different tuning but i'm very impressed. Looks great, sounds great, neck heavy but not an issue sat down.

I really love this bass. I'm updating my review now that I have had the bass for a few weeks. I've been playing it straight out of the box. I did install strap locks right off the bat. It's a tradition to me to put strap locks on all my guitars. I dropped a friends G&L Tele flat on the dance floor one night before stepping on stage here in Austin Texas. It did not seem to hurt the guitar but it sure humiliated me. He only had the strap lock nubs on the guitar which gave nothing to hold a strap. ...

I bought this bass guitar for my grandson for Christmas. Since he has been learning to play the double bass in school he had expressed the desire to play the bass guitar. For the price this cannot be beat. Sound is not bad at all. I let it rest at home temperature for a day or two before attempting to set the bridge or tune. I also loosened the strings slightly before setting the bridge and allowed strings to rest before small tightenings. No trouble with broken strings. I forgot how much rosin a new bow needs (a ton) to make clear sound. I ended up using darker rosin I had on hand to get a fuller sound (the light rosin provided is very lightweight). The GJazz arrived on time, well packaged and in good condition. The strings needed tuning--no big deal-- and other than that, the set up was quite good. The body is very light so the neck tends to dive. The included strap is a lightweight, slick nylon and does not help much in keeping the bass from pivoting downward. Guitar came through in good time...... Some minor damage to box.... probably caused by courier handling....... Bass itself is sweet.....nice & light..... would be good for a kid's first base...... Today I received my E bass, that is a very good bass, have a good sound, and have a beautiful color. Accesories it's not a great thing, but it's not a problem because you can buy that of best quality after you buy this bass. Another excellent thing is the communication with seller because a put accidentally a wrong address, but I wrote they and they fix my mistake and arrive to my correct address.
