So far so good. Arrived today this is my 3rd Glarry and I plan on a couple more. I put it through a quick setup and restringed it. Very happy for now. I do plan on a few small mods in the future and this is a great start-off point. Thanks Glarry team for another budget friendly quality option.

I wasn't expecting much for the money but I took a chance since it's only $62. I'll say I think these are better than most name brand starter guitars. The neck was ever so slightly rough, but a very light sanding took care of that in about 10 seconds. The finish looked really nice. I upgraded the nut to a TUSQ nut and changed the stock tuners to locking tuners. The stock pickups aren't great, kind of thin and quiet, but honestly not bad. Looks Great, Very Happy with it. The neck is a bit chunky but it being unfinished ill sand it down a little , fret ends are well done better the the Squire I just bought.

Good: good value for the price, decent materials, sounds good once it's set up properly, great affordable platform for modding. Nice colors. Bad: Needs a lot of set up to play well (intonation, action, truss rod, fret level and polish, tremolo set up). Nut is really rough and too tall. I have purchased several acoustic and electric guitars from Glarry Music. They are a new company with lower priced instruments. I found the GST to be a reliable instrument after action set up and new Ernie Ball strings. My preferred guitar is the Stratocaster so this one was close enough to a Squier at half the price. I bought a red one with black pickguard and the Sunset model. Both GST guitars are used in my blues band the Cold Cuts.

Not so great ( but wasn't expecting alot) The body wasnt ash or alder-its that lightweight palounia wood used on very cheap Chinese guitars- reminds me of balsa wood it's so light and soft. The neck needed a lot of adjusting, but luckily i know how to do such things. The person that doesn't would be very disappointed. I presently have a Epiphone Dot which sounds great, butI wanted a second guitar, not too expensive and I want a single coil pickup. I happened to come across a review of the Glarry Burning Fire on Youtube, and it was a favourable review. And it's was only $69. Ok, so it might not be a replacement for my Dot, but it's only $69. Going to the Glarry Music site, the sunset was on sale for only $59. It looked a bit funky, I'm mostly a blues player, but it's only $59, and no shipping. So I order ... I happened to come across a review of the Glarry Burning Fire on Youtube, and it was a favourable review. And it's was only $69. Ok, so it might not be a replacement for my Dot, but it's only $69. Going to the Glarry Music site, the sunset was on sale for only $59. It looked a bit funky, I'm mostly a blues player, but it's only $59, and no shipping. So I ordered it, expecting a long wait, but it was delivered after a few days! Packaging wasn't that great, the Fedex guy waited for me to open it up to make sure the guitar wasn't damage since the box was a bit dinged up. The guitar wasn't touched during shipping. So far so good. Taking it out the first thing I noticed how small it is! Plus the body style didn't looked too much heavy metal at all! Looking it over, my wife noticed a little overspray on top of the headstock and wanted to me to return it, but I just said it gave it character. Plus it was only $59. It came with a truss rod allen wrench and a smaller allen wrench for the bridge, a thin guitar cord and a chintzy strap. I put aside the cord and the strap was doable, but I had an extra one. The neck was setup pretty good, so I didn't have to adjust it. One thing amazed me was it had 9-42 strings on it. I was expecting 10-46, so that pretty was nice. The tremolo was locked down so I had to adjust it to float. WIth three springs it was pretty tight, so I removed one of the springs. The action was pretty high, so that needed adjustment. Did I mention it was only $59? It did go out of tune a lot at the beginning, the 9-42 strings sure were stretchy. I graphite the nut and that helped. Now the sound. It's a bit tinny, not full like the Dot. The single coil didn't sound too bad. But did I mention it was only $59? I didn't hear the hum that everyone complained about, but then my amp has a real good noise gate builtin. All in all pretty good for an inexpensive guitar. It's a good guitar to mod, I have a few ideas already. Did I mention it was only $59?

Fun little guitar to learn on again. Will be making some mods in the future. Couple cons: a-string tuning key was not secured properly and the washer was even crooked. Jack was not secured either and the port was leaning. Small paint blemish on head stock. No major problems but quality control was a bit lax. Good little guitar for the money. PS: I did a full setup on the guitar and it plays great now.

First realize this is a $60 guitar and is not perfect out of the box. However it is quite good out of the box. The neck is straight, the frets needed less work than my Epiphone, the pickups are adequate. Really like the unfinished maple neck and fretboard and I can't rave enough about the green finish, it's spectacular. Overall pleased and wish they made a T style.

I bought two of these (one after another) to hot rod. They're a great buy at that price. The fret jobs are very good ... no fret ends sticking out on either guitar and they play cleanly and intonate is not a problem. The tuners are fine and the weight is light, yet the wood is resonant. The part that needed attention on both guitars is the nut. Not a great job cutting or placing them in the slot. One of them sat towards the rear of the slot (towards the tuners) making intonation impossible ...

For the price of the GST, you can't go wrong with Glarry! I did have to do a set up on the guitar which was expected. The claw for the springs on the trem was installed to the extreme right which made all the springs pull at an extreme angle to the right. "easy fix" and I did have to replace the tuners. A few of the tuners slipped to much to be able to tune it properly but I believe most people would replace the tuners anyway, I had planned on that before I bought the guitar. The neck was very ...

I love this guitar, but I didn't buy it to keep it as it came from the factory. I intended to upgrade everything in it, and am having a blast doing just that as monies allow. Had to buy a guitar case to fit an explorer body, added foam to the lower bout cavity, will fur that and the guitar is stable in a good case. If you love teching out a guitar this is the route to go, if you are a beginner guitar player you cannot go wrong with the quality for the price!
