I would say the action would be much too high for a beginner requiring the beginner player to have to use more finger strength to make chords, and that's something new players don't have.

My only bugbear is the tremolo/vibrato arm which seemed a bit stiff but should ease off with use.

Great quality, everything looked great, some black stuff coming off of the strings but other than that it worked perfectly.

I did have to adjust the intonation but that was easy enough to do, the build quality is simply excellent value for the money just order one I'm sure you'll love it!

Unlike others have said, the guitar I received did require a bit of setup (primarily string height) to get it into a playable state, but this could just be a personal preference.

pretty good. takes some time to get used to the odd shape especially when you sit down. case came scuffed up but not too much of a worry. very cheap, good quality considering that.

guitar is beautiful and nice! amp is good as well but i did not receive the bag for this guitar..i assumed it was an add on purchase but apparently it was supposed to come with the combo which i unfortunately did not receive :(

The guitar is great, it sounds great feels great and everything. The guitar can use some better strings however but other than that the guitar is fine. The amp on the other hand not so much, it doesn't have the sound quality it should, especially when being overdriven. Maybe this is because of my playing style etc. The amp most definitely isn't worth it unless you're playing on a clean tone. It's not impossible to use but it won't give you the vibe you think it will in overdrive.

Had to deepen the nut slots,shim the neck,and adjust string height and intonation but after that,the guitar stays in tune and plays good.its a great value if you can do a little setup work.

Love this guitar and amp. Great quality and amazing price. Even free postage and it was quick! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the customer service. I was a little worried that they didn't post to Northern Ireland. So I asked. While waiting for the answer I thought I'd risk it and order anyway. I got the answer the next day that they do not ship to Northern Ireland. You can see from the picture that they clearly do! I'm very happy they were wrong.

Having just spent a couple of grand on Fender Telecasters, I decided to buy this as a "project" to update bits and pieces over the coming months. Firstly the blue burst finish is very nice, and I can't see any obvious flaws. Decent guitar is almost an exact copy of an 60s/70s Stratocaster. Beautiful finish is fairly soft and scratches easily, but it may not be completely cured. Strings are really awful - poor action and tone but a set of Ernie Ball Hybrids fixed noth issues. Tone is surprisingly good through all 3 pickups. Good for the price, pleasantly surprised.This is a good deal for the price, overall better than I expected. Decent for the money. Having said that, the kit is not bad for the money. The amp works although the drive channel is a bit of a joke. Better off getting an inexpensive drive pedal separately if needed. The clean tones are fine. Has enough volume for a practice amp. Seems to have a decent speaker magnet given the weight. This set is great to play at home and rock out to some tunes. It comes with a whammy bar that's fun as hell to use. The AMP has small feedback issues, but it's definitely a little powerhouse. Overall this guitar set is made for rockstars in the making. Great for beginners

Gave 4 stars. Guitar is in great shape. Packaged very well. Guitar sounds really good. The amp on the other hand is very static. Tried different settings and still the sound isnt very good. Other than that. Very good purchase and im happy with it.

honestly, the guitar is not perfect, but for the price, this guitar is totally worth the buy. It's my first electric and I'm having fun learning on it. Be prepared to tune it quite a bit, but that is the only problem with it.

Nice finish overall for price. Fret ends need to be smoothed out. Problem with open G string being buzzy. Would like Glarry to address this. Have seen another post about open G string buzz.
