I see this touted as a good beginner guitar, and I have to disagree with that. To be clear, that's not to say it's horrible or even bad. It's just that it needs work to truly shine, and some of that might be a bit much for someone just starting out. The good things first. It's very light, and very comfortable to play. It has a REALLY nice natural tone. The notes ring off with a nice, low richness. The pickups are decent, too. At least I have no problems with mine. The not so good...the action ...

The strings are garbage, and the tuners aren't much better. The nut on mine was way too high, making the first fret almost unplayable. On the plus side, these are all easy fixes and might not apply evenly to every guitar. At the very least, get a set of decent strings and change them right off the bat. Don't even mess with what's on there out of the box. Also, new tuners are probably a must. The nut will probably need to be sanded down or replaced, and the action adjusted. So, if you're comfortable with that, or at least aren't afraid of screwing up your guitar trying to fix it, then this is a good pick up. With a little work, it will be very much worth it.

Bought it for my daughter and she was super excited about it. Although I didn't like that it chipped very easily. I the carrying case doesn't protect it much. It comes with a strap to hand the guitar while using it but only comes with one button to attach the strap from. Can't use the strap.

Well did it again. I bought this setup. I couldn't resist. Out of the box this one was fine. The only thing was intonation. It was off a few cents but adjusted just fine. I do wish it had a clear pick guard on it though. Resting my finger on it does leave tiny scratches on it. The amp is ok for practice but I think it could use a little bigger speaker. Other than that I think it's a good deal.

I got this guitar for the house so the wife and kid can jam and to get the kid familiar with a guitar, they love it. For the price you can't beat it. Now I really wanted this guitar so I can play really grimey, slow, soul crushing, black metal. I couldnt be happier im making sick riffs and when you turn the treble to 0, the bass to 10 and the gain to 10, with the guiar knob to the first pick ups, it sounds nasty af. Great buy for a great price

the guitar is absolutely amazing but the amp is extremely loud and has a shaky sound whenever the overdrive is turned on, not a buzzing but sounds a lot like a bumper dragging on the road

Solid kit for a beginner. Good sound, good amp. The strap is flimsy and uncomfortable but it's cool they include one in the first place. The bag isnt anything special, I mainly use it to keep dust off the guitar. The bag came with a hole in it, but with it not being the most amazing material I wasnt suprised or angry. I'm on the smaller side, 5ft 0in, so when looking for a guitar to purchase I wanted something small. The strings are strong and stay tuned. I hadn't played for a few days and when picking it back up I barely needed to adjust the tuners. Overall it's a great kit for the money to dip your toes into playing. Even with the flimsy and cheap material of the gig bag and strap, the fact its included is killer in my opinion. Highly recommend.

The guitar was well packaged for shipment - showed no signs of damage by rough handling. Unfortunately, upon opening the package, it was clear I'd been sent a guitar that had been sitting for a bit after being built. It was unplayable out of the box, needing a neck adjustment to straighten the neck. The strings were ...

Having said that, everything was addressable with a string change and quick set-up. After the setup and string change, the guitar plays quite well, having no dead frets or fret buzz. Overall, I would recommend the product to others - with a caveat that the instrument most likely will need a little TLC to be ready to play.
