Clearly, at these prices, one should not expect fit and finish to be on par with brand name guitars however, what I found was that the quality was much higher than what I expected. Did it have finish flaws? Yes. Did it have issues with setup? Yes. Was it playable as soon as the strings were tuned? Yes. Did the tone sound cheap or tinny? No. I found the guitar to be an excellent project guitar. I adjusted the action by sanding down the removable plastic saddle. I took a sanding sponge to dress the fret edges and oil treated the fretboard. Finally, I put light Exlir 9 gauge strings as the standard set were causing the top of the soundboard to bow slightly. Now, I have a guitar that I simply love to play. I find that because I tinkered with it, I reach for it instead of my Breedlove and Taylor more often than not. Sure it is not close to those in terms of sound quality but for a grab and go guitar with no worries, it is the Glarry every time.
