As I expected! Very good for the price. Great starting point for anyone who wants to jump into bass.
However, quality control could have been better. Some of the fret finishing are rough, so when I play for an extended time, I usually get some minor marks or scratches on the palm and fingers. More, some frets are not leveled with the surrounding frets, for example, my 13th frets are higher than the 12th, so when I play G on the 12th fret - G string, I ended up getting G#. However, quality control could have been better. Some of the fret finishing are rough, so when I play for an extended time, I usually get some minor marks or scratches on the palm and fingers. More, some frets are not leveled with the surrounding frets, for example, my 13th frets are higher than the 12th, so when I play G on the 12th fret - G string, I ended up getting G#. That happens at some points around the neck which is very annoying, I thought my fingering was wrong but then I realize I will never get it right because that note will never sound, until I sand and polish that 13th fret.
Also, the output is kinda weak, but it's true for a sub $100 bass. Will have to work around the amp and effects to get a good sound.
For $79, this is a great deal! Throw in some of your guitar tech skills if you have some tools lying around, then you can turn this one very very playable.
