I would say the action would be much too high for a beginner requiring the beginner player to have to use more finger strength to make chords, and that's something new players don't have.

My only bugbear is the tremolo/vibrato arm which seemed a bit stiff but should ease off with use.

I did have to adjust the intonation but that was easy enough to do, the build quality is simply excellent value for the money just order one I'm sure you'll love it!

Unlike others have said, the guitar I received did require a bit of setup (primarily string height) to get it into a playable state, but this could just be a personal preference.

pretty good. takes some time to get used to the odd shape especially when you sit down. case came scuffed up but not too much of a worry. very cheap, good quality considering that.

guitar is beautiful and nice! amp is good as well but i did not receive the bag for this guitar..i assumed it was an add on purchase but apparently it was supposed to come with the combo which i unfortunately did not receive :(

The guitar is great, it sounds great feels great and everything. The guitar can use some better strings however but other than that the guitar is fine. The amp on the other hand not so much, it doesn't have the sound quality it should, especially when being overdriven. Maybe this is because of my playing style etc. The amp most definitely isn't worth it unless you're playing on a clean tone. It's not impossible to use but it won't give you the vibe you think it will in overdrive.

Had to deepen the nut slots,shim the neck,and adjust string height and intonation but after that,the guitar stays in tune and plays good.its a great value if you can do a little setup work.

Love this guitar and amp. Great quality and amazing price. Even free postage and it was quick! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the customer service. I was a little worried that they didn't post to Northern Ireland. So I asked. While waiting for the answer I thought I'd risk it and order anyway. I got the answer the next day that they do not ship to Northern Ireland. You can see from the picture that they clearly do! I'm very happy they were wrong.

Great musical instrument for the price! This is my second Glarry Bass and I love it.Love it. Glarry produces very good instruments suited for beginners at surprisingly great prices. Did some basic setup and tuning and this thing sounds wonderful. Just what I was looking for in a fretted "J" style bass.

Nice guitar for the price.I'm a beginner at bass guitar. So I bought this setup. It was worth the price. You get the guitar, amp, cord, strap and bag. The only bad thing. Is the guitar goes out of tune after one day of use. I have to retune it all the time. I have some other guitars. Fenders and I have Ibanez guitars. I hardly ever tune them. But I know there is a quality difference. Great price and deal for beginners. Just need to buy a tuning machine with it.

Having just spent a couple of grand on Fender Telecasters, I decided to buy this as a "project" to update bits and pieces over the coming months. Firstly the blue burst finish is very nice, and I can't see any obvious flaws. Decent guitar is almost an exact copy of an 60s/70s Stratocaster. Beautiful finish is fairly soft and scratches easily, but it may not be completely cured. Strings are really awful - poor action and tone but a set of Ernie Ball Hybrids fixed noth issues. Tone is surprisingly good through all 3 pickups. I bought it, the amp is ok for the money but trust me only works for the bass. The guitar came in prepackaged/ wrapped clean condition and plays nicely. Uhh, i might've tuned the volume knob a little hard and it broke but i guess ill take the blame.

Good for the price, pleasantly surprised.This is a good deal for the price, overall better than I expected. Decent for the money. Having said that, the kit is not bad for the money. The amp works although the drive channel is a bit of a joke. Better off getting an inexpensive drive pedal separately if needed. The clean tones are fine. Has enough volume for a practice amp. Seems to have a decent speaker magnet given the weight. I only received the guitar. I'm not sure if I should be expecting a separate package with the Amp but I have sent an email.Other than than that the condition is great and I'm satisfied overall.
