This bass is shockingly awesome (for the price). One thing I will note with cheap instruments, is you are ususally reaching into a grab bag of mysteries. You can get a perfectly fine bass that feels great like me, or you could recieve a crappy cable harness, bad pickups, or just outright bad craftsmanship. I would have to say 4.5 stars for the price. What I didn't really like to see was the neck was unfinished, and required a coat of polyurethane to protect it from finger oils and moisture/warping. The nut is plastic and I've had guitars with plastic nuts before but this seems like really cheap plastic. I also didn't like how when moved the guitar rattled a lot and when I unscrewed the pick guard a whole bunch of manufacturing debris fell out. All of these basses (I bought 3) play great and are excellent vehicules for upgrades. It took me 10 minutes to get used to the thicker neck. This was the problem for the Jazz Bass only.

Fairly solid guitar for the price point. Box arrived in good shape, guitar was well packaged. Noticed a few minor finish flaws, but that to be expected at this price. Nothing a little polishing compound couldn't take care of. Strings were stuck in sustain block when I tried to change them. Ended up changing out the whole bridge with a squire bridge/block I had left over. Original bridge was VERY light. Only found 2 high frets, filed and recrowned them. For the price it's a good instrument. Tuners are a little hard to turn, pickups not high output. Not a very resonant bass, strap button fell off I repaired that. Needs setup I'll buy better strings before I do that. Fretboard it dry frets are sharp at ends and not polished. Nut is plastic and sharp ends. Bridge is good. Neck is very heavy not balanced very well. Overall not terrible for $80 but needs work. Fortunately I have lots of experience in the luthier field.

Outstanding guitar for the money! The fretwork was top notch, the finish was perfect, and the neck plays fast. When hooked up to an amp and a noise gate, it did have some sort of phasing issue, but that could've been the noise gate. More investigation is required. I would highly recommend this guitar for beginners. I have bought 2 guitars ( 1 strat and 1 bass) from Glarry. Let me say I am very happy with their guitar cases-really like the tweed one. Both the guitars however arrived needing at least moderate set up work. So be advised if you know how to work on guitars-then they are a good deal. I expected this at this price-so its fine. I'm new to the bass, so I'm maybe not the best person to review the Glarry GP Electric Bass, but I'll tell you what I know: *It's gorgeous. The finish is very, very nice. *It sounds great. I sort of expected less, honestly, from a bass at this price point. *It's not very well balanced. It's head-heavy, meaning you'll have to work at keeping it positioned--but honestly, that's such a small thing in light of how great it looks and sounds for the price.

Surprisingly well made for the price and sounds just fine. However, the strings were all almost half an inch above the fretboard when it came out of the box. Even after adjusting the bridge to the lowest it could go and tightening the truss rod, the action height is still uncomfortably high and ends up producing a lot of buzz. This may have been a special issue with my specific instrument, but I would take this into consideration before purchasing.

First, I wish I could have bought a guitar like this when I started back in 1966. Cheap guitars back then were terrible, This is a good guitar for $69.99. I have never touched an instrument before in my life. During quarantine, I just decided, "bass, why not." The price is NOT A SCAM!! Yes, there is some glossy finish that is peeling slightly at the corner, but that is an easy fix. I am 16 years old but the reported "thick neck" of the bass didn't phase me at all. Ok I just received my Glarry Jazz bass. First and foremost it looks great. Second and most importantly, the fret edges are smooth as butter. Amp is good. Little fret buzz but that can be fixed easy enough. Love it. Burlywood is the style I picked .

Absolutely wonderful guitar. The paint job is absolutely beautiful, and the tones you can get from it are fantastic. The neck is nice and straight, and the string action is perfect. It makes no sense that this instrument is this inexpensive. The guitar is extremely light, which is sometimes the hallmark of cheap guitars, but this instrument feels very solid, and the light weight means it wouldn't be fatiguing to wear onstage for an hour or two. It's comfortable to play when sitting down as ... Absolutely wonderful guitar. The paint job is absolutely beautiful, and the tones you can get from it are fantastic. The guitar is extremely light, which is sometimes the hallmark of cheap guitars, but this instrument feels very solid, and the light weight means it wouldn't be fatiguing to wear onstage for an hour or two. It's comfortable to play when sitting down as well. I only plan to change two things: 1) It needs heavier strings. I don't know what gauge these are, but I personally play in drop-C tuning, and these strings are definitely made for standard-E. This is obviously not a drawback of the guitar. This is par for the course for anyone who de-tunes. 2) I'm going to replace the saddle-height screws. My palm gravitates right to that spot on the saddle when I play mutes, and I don't like the feeling of the screws poking my hand. It's not painful or anything. It just tickles after a while. Not everyone would want to do this, so this isn't even a real gripe. I looked online, and whole new set of shorter saddle-height screws is about $6. No big deal. The guitar even came with the Allen wrench I need to do the job. That's very cool. I give this guitar a solid 5 Stars. I own four guitars, one of which is a $700 Jackson Charvel. This Glarry guitar is my favorite. I'd never heard of Glarry until someone online mentioned that they made accessible guitars for students, and I've been itching to buy some new guitars. I'm telling you, this guitar feels absolutely nothing like an "entry level" guitar. I own a $150 entry-level guitar, and even though this Glarry was around half the price, it's ten times better. This guitar would be the best guitar on earth for a beginner, because when that beginner becomes a long-time guitar player like me (I've been playing for around 28 years), they will still love it. I jammed out for hours last night.
